Lupita Nyongo Confesses She Misses Ugali But Cannot Cook it !!!

 Oscar Award winning actress, Lupita Nyong’o has sensationally revealed that she does not know how to cook her homeland’s staple food Ugali . 

 The actress, in a television interview, confessed that even though she has a ‘mwiko‘ (Wooden spoon), she just can’t get the combination of maize meal and hot water right.

In an interview with NTV’s Larry Madowo, Lupita also revealed that despite all the dining with Hollywood celebrities, what she misses most about home is a good, white lump of Ugali.

 Here are the excerpts of the interview…

LARRY: Do you miss living here? Is there anything you miss about Kenya?

LUPITA: I miss ugali a lot, becuase I also don’t know how to cook Ugali.

LARRY: What do you mean you don’t know how to cook Ugali?

LUPITA: Yaa I don’t know how to cook Ugali.

LARRY: That’s terrible.

LUPITA: I know it’s really, really bad. I have a mwiko (wooden spoon) but I don’t know how to cook Ugali.

The actress is currently on a homecoming tour that will include art mentorship activities, as well as an awareness campaign on wildlife conservancy efforts in the country.
